MySpace Records / Interscope Records
Disco Curtis

Prior to the release of Disco Curtis' full-length album, MySpace and Interscope released two digital singles online. Wanting to take advantage of the opportunity to sell these singles while the band was on the 2010 Warped Tour, loudbytes hangtags were the perfect means of doing so. loudbytes created the double sided hangtag; Side A offered a download of the single "Ammunition" and Side B a download of "This Gravity". The band attached these to every t-shirt sold on tour.

AWOLNATION

Red Bull Records immediately took advantage of the loudbytes' music download hangtag product to sell the music of artist, AWOLNATION, and report those sales to SoundScan. Rather than manufacture CDs for the artist's first EP, the label decided to create an EP specific t-shirt and attach a loudbytes hangtag to each. The artist and label are selling these Music Download Shirts at tour dates and other live events.

MySpace Records
Looking for innovative and cost effective ways to promote and sell the music of their artists, MySpace Records worked with loudbytes to create custom download products for Sherwood, Mateo, and Nico Vega

Sherwood
As a vehicle to pre-sell Sherwood’s album “QU”, loudbytes created a custom music button for MySpace Records. Each button was mounted on a custom back that included a download code redeemable for the digital album online. The band sold the buttons at their merch booth while on tour. On release day, loudbytes “flipped the switch” to accept QU download codes and deliver the album to fans. Music buttons are a great way to get music in the hands of fans while allowing them to wear the brand of the artist.

Nico Vega
Before the start of Nico Vega’s tour with RCA artist Inward Eye, MySpace Records used loudbytes Download Cards with Packaging to promote the dates. This product consists of a loudbytes plastic download card adhered to the front of our 4”x6” postcards. MySpace and RCA teamed up, split the cost, and distributed the cards to street team members in each market. The 4”x6” postcard promoted the artists on the front and listed each tour date on the back. The download card offered recipients of the package the chance to download and listen to 1 song from each artist.

Music Saves Lives Vans Warped Tour
Through a partnership with Vans Warped Tour and Red Cross North America, Music Saves Lives thanks student blood donors nationwide for their blood donations by giving them a music compilation featuring bands participating in the Vans Warped Tour.

In 2008 Music Saves Lives decided to go “digital” and tapped loudbytes to build a custom website/platform to power the distribution of digital download cards instead of CDs.   In 2010, loudbytes created the Single Button Blister Pack for Music Saves Lives.  This product offers the same functionality of a download card with the added value of a 1” branded button, offering MSL the opportunity to have it’s brand worn by supporters of the cause.  To date, over 1,000,000 loudbytes/MSL download products have been distributed.  Artists featured on these download products include All American Rejects, Bad Religion, Pennywise, NOFX, Thursday, Katy Perry, and many more.

Use Your Sole Tour Hanson, Hello Goodbye, Steel Train, Sherwood
For the Toms Shoes sponsored Use Your Sole Tour, the record labels for Hanson, Hello Goodbye, Steel Train, and Sherwood asked loudbytes to create a custom digital download card. The cards were handed out to every attendee of the tour. Each card had a unique code redeemable for a zip file containing songs from each band, a live music video from Hanson, and offers for discounts on merch and music. With each label equally sharing the cards’ cost, it proved an economical way to promote all four bands beyond the event. Using download cards as a type of “concert memory” allows the opportunity for each band to benefit from the fans of other participating bands.
